The civet cats called by the Blaan coffee farmers as Balos are free to roam in the wild and naturally feed on the ripe coffee cherries. Mount Matutum is an active volcano, approximately 5.7 kilometers from Acmonan, Tupi, South Cotabato, Philippines.
